Amazon Basin
The Amazon Basin is located in Amazonia. It is covered by rain forests. Its most important landform is the Amazon River.
Andes
The Andes are extended from the top of South America all the way to Panama . It is the source of most major rivers on the continent and some of the biggest volcanoes in the world. It has a very important peak that is located in Argentina, called Aconagua(6,960m high)
Atacama desert
It is in a part of the Andes of Chile. It is asmall desert, that is cold and the rain is very rare.
Brazilian highlands
The Brazilian Highlands are from the state of Minas to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Includes varied mountain ranges. The highest point is Pao de Asucar(2 245 m.)
Guiana highlands
A geographically stinning part of Planet Earth, over 1,000miles in lenght, the Highlands stretch from southern Venezuela across the northern edge of south America to the tip of Brazil. The highest point is Mt. Roraima.
Llanos
It is in eastern and central Colombia and southern Venezuela.
Pampas
It is in Argentina(the central part). It is formed by cattle ranches. The most imortant landorm is the Uruguay River.
Patagonia
It is located between the Andes and the Atlantic Ocean. It is rugged and barred .Tierra de Fuego and Strait of Mogellan are the most impotant landforms in thetre.
